I love to learn new things about my computers. I have the typical love/hate relationship with my computers. I have a desktop with XP home and a gift of a laptop with Vista home premium. I've been able to learn a lot, with the help of magazines and questions to folks I know. I hope to learn a lot more about the Vista and the laptop. Am still getting used to the touchpad, find it very different from a mouse. I hope to meet some knowledgeable folks here, able to take the place of the folks I used to be able to ask questions of. I've found that my lack of knowledge has caused me to ask the wrong questions. I hope to learn more and are able to fix my issues with my network. I get frustrated with my lack of knowledge and ability to fix these problems, and I shut down and come back later to tackle it again. Because of that, I find myself doing things recommended by help and support guide, again and again. I forget what I did, even though I try to take notes. I think partly, because of my age, and mostly my unfamiliarity with what I'm trying to do. Here's to looking forward to meeting you all.

Welcome from myself too, we do try to be as friendly and helpful as possible, but even we can make mistakes. (He says as he removes a fried power supply. LOL)

Carol was my older sis who passed away several years ago. I use CarolsSis to honor her memory. She was a wonderful sis and I miss her so much. Thanks so much for all your kind words. I feel much more secure knowing I have this forum to go to for problems I can't repair myself.

I am sure you have been doing and will continue to do her proud. We are more than happy to have you with us and are always available to help out when we can. (Which is most of the time. :) )

What a nice idea, it is a lovely way to honour her...I must remember that if I ever register on another forum. :)

I also dearly miss my older sister who passed away a couple of years ago.
