IE start slow

Hey everyone, i noticed Internet Explorer has started talking forever to
start up. When i first open the program the tab says connecting for like, 30
seconds. Ran norton and pctools but didn't show any bugs. Did one of the
updates change a setting or is there a work around??? Thanks in advance

 

Disable all Internet Explorer toolbars and add-ins, what happens then?

Yeah it helped to disable the norton toolbar and others, but still when you
open a new tab it takes over ten seconds to opn, when firefox is instant.
Guess ill just use firefox

One last thing, when is the last time you ran a comprehensive
spyware/malware scan??

I use norton and pctools spyware doctor, came up with nothing. I even
upgraded to IE 8 and still have problem.
