One time I installed Norton 360 and within 1 week it had told me that
Microsoft Vista was a virus. So I called and complained and was refunded my
money on the spot

Don't delete anything. Always uninstall, and the best way to do that is to
use Revo Uninstaller. Its a free download to the home user, and gives your
computer a clean uninstall including the registry. Norton is a notorious,
program to deal with, but Revo Uninstaller will completely remove it. I am
in NO way connected to the Revo group, nor do I receive any compensation
from them. I am just a satisfied user.
