I have been having problems with lagg while gaming. So I followed some video on youtube about how to reduce lagg. It told me to go to speedguide.net and download a tcp program. I followed the instructions and it automatically rebooted my computer and I now I am stuck with missing files and my search bar is not working. I also downloaded rambooster 2.0. This computer is necessary for my business to keep working. Please Help! This is really urgent!

Hi OneEightyy, welcome to Computer Help Forums

Could you tell us the make and model of your computer please.

You say there are files missing. Do you mean program files or personal files?

Do you have your personal data backed up to an external source?

If you can get back to us with the information asked for, we can decide how best to help you.

    Welcome to CHF OneEightyy,

Have you tried to do a system restore yet? For best results it should be done
in safe mode. If you need some help with entering safe mode or performing a
system restore, I will be happy to give you instructions.

I think I saw a button somewhere that does it? I could be wrong. What exactly does this do? Will some of my stuff be restored/lost? I think you might as well give me instructions haha. Better to be safe than sorry. I much appreciate all the help.

No problem, I can do that. You won't lose anything, it will restore your computer to the
condition it was in before you downloaded and installed the tcp software. You will want
to make sure you pick a restore point prior to the install. By default Vista will show you
    the recommended restore point.

Shut down your computer and restart it in safe mode by continously tapping the F8 key.
Once is safe mode you will notice that everything seems much larger than usual. This is
    normal.
Follow the instructions in the tutorial for performing system restore below...

    Resolved?

In regards to lag while gaming, it's often due to drivers, either the GPU, Chipset or NIC you should check with the manufacturer for updated drivers. Also patches/fixes for the games can make a huge difference if there are any
