Hey Andrew, a top-of-the-line speech app like
Dragon NaturallySpeaking can keep up with a
fast talker speaking at 603 wpm, like in this
    video clip.

Notice the computer in the background changing
    that fast talking to text.

Only reason I mention this is because you
let it slip in one of your old posts that you
dictate at 20 to 30 wpm.
(average speed including time correcting text)

IMO, most of the benefits of using a speech app
disappear for normal users if the average speed
of dictation falls below that of a normal typist,
say at 45 wpm for example.

My, my, if you were not as dumb as a rock, you would
have been able to figure out what had likely happened.

Unlike the toy WSR that you run, Dragon is designed
    to be highly configurable.

That means that built-in words can be *deleted*
you imbecile, unlike the toy WSR where this
    is impossible.

Obviously someone had been messing around with your
donated copy of Dragon, removed the correct version of
the word "embarrassed", then later substituted an
incorrect version with only one "r".

You can prove that happened if you notice that the
user-added wrong word "embarassed" has a large
green asterisk just to the left of the word in the
    vocabulary word list.

The green asterisk indicates that a word has been
automatically changed, because someone has fooled
around with "correcting" that word, possibly without
due regard for its correct spelling.

Once a correct built-in word has been deleted, it is
gone forever, the same as if it had never been installed
in the default vocabulary in the first place.

....unless the user had the foresight to create a separate
"profile" just for fooling around, as I did.

That way my regular profile gets protected, whenever
I get a wild hair up my arse and want to experiment.

I also removed the checkmark from the "correction" tab
of "options", in the box labelled:
    "add corrected words to vocabulary".

I prefer tight manual control over the words that "want to"
be added to the all-important vocabulary, otherwise
misspelled words like "embarassed" might get automatically
    added to the working vocabulary.

That is also possible, because all _my_ four copies of
different versions of Dragon 10.0 have the correct
spelling of the word "embarrassed", contrary to your lie
about how Dragon supposedly misspells that word.

All your remaining lies will be handled in due course,
one-by-one, as I do not want to become the blowhard
that you are, with your scores of points which
should be handled one at a time, in separate posts.

So by your statement above, you admit it can happen. My point is proved.

WSR maybe a toy to you, probably because you do not know how to use it
properly, but it is a way of life for me because I USE IT ALL THE TIME! I
am not some wannabe, part timer like you!

Calm down Mark, we do not want you having a heart attack, especially at your
age, just because you have been proved wrong!

They are not lies. Any sensible person can see that, with the proof that I
put up. It is you that is in the lying department pretending that Dragon
can rattle out 600 words a minute by speaking like that lady does in the
video clip you posted LOL! That is just one of your lies.

Pretending that you knew the definition of the word *list* then hopelessly
trying to justify it without any proof! Another one of your lies. Shall I
    go on?

You go ahead and handle what you like in separate posts, I really do not
care. You have obviously got too much time on your hands and have nothing
    better to do.

I am done with answering and correcting the crap you come out with. I have
better things to spend my time on than to fuel a conversation with a sad
old, illiterate imbecile, such as you, who is beneath me.

So you go ahead and post your usual crap. Because without me answering and
correcting you, the sad old person that you are, will be talking to himself.
Still, I bet you are quite used to that anyway!

Of course it "can happen", but only if you are dumb as a
rock and *cause* it to happen, as you obviously are.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > ...you admit it can happen. My point is proved.<!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->

Your point is that Dragon was sold with the wrong
word "embarassed" in its default vocabulary.

    You are wrong.

No one else except you has the wrong word "embarassed"
in the default vocabulary of Dragon, as it is sold in a
    shrink-wrap package.

Next time get a new version of Dragon, instead of
donation-ware that someone else has fooled around
with - - - or screwing Dragon up yourself by being
too ignorant to properly configure it.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > WSR maybe a toy to you...<!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->
    Use correct grammar you imbecile:
"WSR may be a toy to you"

Not only to me, you idiot, to almost everyone else
    on the planet.

For example, there are thousands of hospitals here in
the USA that use Dragon for serious work that involves
saving people's lives. Not one of those thousands of
    hospitals use WSR.

I assume the same situation exists in the UK, no toys
    where lives are at stake.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > They are not lies. <!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->

    In your own words:
"And you have been told repeatedly by me that it CAN and
HAS happened, to me, or I must have the only version
of Dragon 10 that spelt *embarrassed* with one 'r' "

Sure looks like a lie to me, telling everyone who will
listen to you that Dragon spells "embarrassed" wrong.

Only people who are as dumb as a rock like you
would believe the FUD that you are spreading.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > but it is a way of life for me because I USE IT ALL THE TIME!<!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->
So what do you want, a medal?

A toy speech app is adequate for you, because you have
lots of time to put up with the lousy text correction tools
that WSR is plagued with, such as the inability of WSR
to allow you to remove some obscure built-in word that
    is causing you repeated errors.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > They are not lies. Any sensible person can see that,
    > with the proof that I put up. <!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->

What proof? All I see is a bunch of lies and innuendoes
besmirching the best speech app available to personal
computer users at this time, namely Dragon.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->

    These are my exact words:
"Hey Andrew, a top-of-the-line speech app like
Dragon NaturallySpeaking can keep up with a
fast talker speaking at 603 wpm, like in this
    video clip."

What part of the word "like" do you not understand?

You really could use a refresher course on the meaning
of words, so you would not expose your ignorance here
in public for all to see. Shame, really, pathetic also.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > Pretending that you knew the definition of the word

    Wrong on all counts.

I was just repeating the definition that came with the
built-in dictionary app that is part of the OS in my
    computer.

If you have a problem with _their_ definition, take it
up with them, don't whine to me.

    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    > Shall I go on?<!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->
By all means do, I don't mind educating you, and correcting
    your lies and misrepresentations.

that he has no logical responses to my truths)

By the way, I was wrong about one thing.
(first time I was wrong in 20 years)

WSR in not a _heaping_ POS.

Instead it is just an average sized POS.

For those few souls interested in why I softened my
opinion about WSR, here is what I accomplished
with it after a one week crash course of self-education
    about how to use it.

Certainly I had to baby WSR, because of all its limitations.

I dictated slowly at only 50wpm, so as not to overwhelm
    that pathetic speech app.

Certainly there were an unacceptable number of mistakes,
ten all told, four mistakes due to WSR not being able to tell
the difference between "gain" and "game".

Ten mistakes in 200 words, lousy raw accuracy of only 95%

    Corrected dictation follows - - -

    Maximizing therapeutic gain with gemcitabine
    and fractionated radiation.

    PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE: The nucleoside analogue
    gemcitabine inhibits cellular repair and
    repopulation, induces apoptosis, causes tumor
    growth delay, and enhances radiation-induced
growth delay. After single doses of drug and
radiation, maximum enhancement of tumor response
was obtained when gemcitabine preceded radiation
by at least 24 h. Conversely, the cellular
    radioresponse of the normal gastrointestinal
    epithelium was slightly protected when
gemcitabine and radiation were separated by 24 h.
This differential response created a time
frame within which therapeutic gain could be
maximized. In our present investigation, we
sought to define the most therapeutically
    beneficial scheme of gemcitabine administration
    when combined with fractionated radiotherapy.
.... All 3 schedules of drug administration
    produced therapeutic gain; however, when
gemcitabine was given more than once in a
    5-fraction radiation treatment schedule, normal
    tissue toxicity increased. The highest
therapeutic gain (1.4) was achieved by giving a
    single dose of gemcitabine (25 mg/kg) 24 h
before the start of fractionated radiotherapy.

The unacceptable number of mistakes were:
    ---------------------------
    game S/B gain
    used an S/B Houston
    analogs S/B analog
after a single doses S/B after single doses
    game S/B gain
    shot S/B sought
.... All S/B ... All (was too much space after ellipses)
    game S/B gain
    treatments S/B treatment
    game S/B gain

    Total mistakes = 10

Approx' 200 words total, raw accuracy only 95%

In all the ten mistakes above, the original audio I kept
of the dictation clearly sounded correct.

In other words, an impartial person listening to that
audio would *NEVER* say that any of my "gain" words
    sounded like "game".
