    Hi

I hope everyone here is having a merry Christmas. I've worked with PC's since they came out and find I know less now than I did twenty years ago.
I'm retired (and so is my wife); we live in a small town in west Texas. Lots of deer, armadillos, and other critters. Sure beats the big city where we used to live, where we were used to hearing gunshots and sirens. Here, it's the chirping of the birds and the silence of the night sky. The other evening we saw the "V" formation of sandhill cranes flying south to the gulf coast.

Yes, a very happy welcome to you as well, mgkrebbs!

I too am retired and have moved to a small town - nothing quite as exotic as you have, but do have deer and the occasional bear wandering around and, of course, our raccoons that think the latest lock on our garbage cans is simply a challenge to be overcome. :)

Again, welcome and have a wonderful Christmas!!

    Hey mgkrebbs welcome to CHF

Hope you enjoy your Christmas and hope your screen position problem is fixed soon.

Wish I saw animals as much as you and Mara do, the animal we see commonly is a Magpie, then sometimes Swallows (think thats the name they are small brown feathered birds), well we see them from spring until the end of autumn, obviously too cold now :), I have seen the odd fox come around though and even hedgehogs but again mainly between spring and late autumn, thing we see now is mainly pet cats walking around during the day not much else lives here during winter.
