Hello

I am a new member and looking forward to be on the forum. Got my first computer in 1982 (Timex Sinclair) and have been using computers since. Primarily using Windows based (when they arrived on the scene) but have used a variety of Apple machines along the way. Presently have 2 laptops running Windows 7 and one Netbook Running Windows 8 (even though I can't make good use of the Apps since the resolution on it isn't high enough even with "attacking" the registery to try and change it). Also have a Windows Smartphone running 7.5 and waiting for the 7.8 upgrade.

Well, he recently bought a nice Canon digital SLR, doesn't have to worry about film anymore like me.

Thank you. The Odessey of computers, their up's and down's, continues onward as we move into the highly succesful realm of Smartphones. I try and keep up with what is going on, which is a chore in itself these days, to help with advice to relatives and neighbors. I get a kick out of the younger generation actually asking me for advice on computers, tablets, Smartphones and programs. I wasn't sure, myself, about Smartphones until I got one and have to say it has become a great tool especially when my wife and I travel. Having simple "tools" like a flashlight, camera, level, calculator, converter, maps and weather at your fingertips along with e-mail, FB, etc., is a bit mind boogling when you get right down to it. Hope things are well for you and yours out there in wild west these days.
