    Hi Everyone!

The new opening page looks great, and it says I should introduce myself - I am John.

This seems to be a totally Microsoft website, so I must have joined it way way way back when I was using Microsoft products. I am a linux only person now, but I'm pretty sure I will read about the myriad problems that MSDOS windows seems to have. (I only repair local computers at home right now and they all run linux). (Bought a brand new laptop with W7 at Christmas 2009 - crashed 3 times while setting up the OS, so I put UBUNTU 9.1 on it, and it hasn't crashed yet!) I am very familiar with linux, so the problems that I will be up against with repairing software problems with MSDOS windows are new to me. it's unlikely I'll be posting anything, but I'll troll and observe.

    T.I.A.
    Relax and enjoy
    John :)

Welcome back to the community. Yes we had a crash and lost the non ms forums. Just haven't re-created them yet.

    Hi Jefelex

I have to admit we are sadly lacking in linux experts,
but that probably has to do with the lack of Linux related threads,
If you feel like sticking around and rectifying this problem you are more than welcome to try,
and I'm sure the staff and other members here will be as ready to help where they can.
after all Linux is a useful tool for fixing Windows :p

Though far from being an expert in Linux, I've dabbled with and have an interest in Linux.
I think your calling is clear. That is, heading up a Linux Forum here. ;)
