I think it safe to say at this point as people are getting Windows 7
today and its full rollout will be tomorrow, and still no windows 7
newsgroup, that there will not be one.

    I wonder why?

Is there a reason why there is no w7 newsgroups?

Is there a reason why there is no w7 newsgroups?

Even though the ISP eliminated there own newsgroup, does not mean
people cant access them. I use individual news service.

Otherwise, you going to get a lot of W7 question in the Vista and xp
    groups.

Unfortunately I don't think there is anyone in this newsgroup that can
    answer that question.

    Nigel M

We need Windows 7 groups on the Microfoft News Server!

If the answer is really THAT obvious, it would mean that its only a
matter of time before they shutdown the NNTP server for good. I mean, if
they don't plan to make any more new groups on it, it means they don't
plan to use it much longer.

    Snipped remark,

As far as the flash drive, I am using to back up and replace cd.
Several data cds, can fit on a flash drive on 1 flash drive. All,
I will need is 4 possible six. possible six flash drive 4 gb flash
drives, I could reduce my cd space.

Yes, I know I could get bigger flash drive, which I am considering.

The evidence speaks for itself. Much of the MVP community has repeatedly
asked the same question and gotten no commitment for their creation, only
repeated statements regarding the new answers forum as the primary peer
support venue. Win7 is here and no groups have been created. With all prior
versions of Windows, groups were created months in advance of the release
date. What more evidence do you need?
