gomez peer

    gomez peer is a program that you run on your system.
    their site says it check web site status.
    their web site also states that it uses almost no computer time.

    but lately, it is now taking up almost all the computer cpu.

    does anyone know what they are now doing that on everybodies system.

    what is it doing?

    The same thing eset is doing scanning and tagging NG text messages...using
    your PC for free.

    Uninstall gomezpeer.
    Tada !

    Have you tried relocating the computer to a safer environment?
    Bar that...unplugging it would be another recommended course of action.

    It's a dead message area when you post about a bullcrap program that has
    nothing to do with Vista. This is a VISTA newsgroup. What part of that
    didn't you understand?

    Uninstall the software and if your problem goes away, do not reinstall it
    until the distributor/manufacturer responds to your requests for assistance.
    Personally I would never have installed it in the first place after visiting
    their web site but maybe that's just me. ;-)

    No kidding! Looks like some pretty shady software to me! I would never
    install anything like that on my computer! Looks like some form of
    spyware and who knows what the heck its REALLY doing.
