Yes this is a somewhat mid-high end motherboard. What's different you ask? Well for starters it's the newer Intel Z170 chipset which will run the new Intel Skylake socket 1151 processors :)

As you can see it comes with a protective outer EMI mainboard EMI shielding cover on/around the I/O plate area, and it's got some white accents for those of you that like white cases.

This is obviously for someone wanting to build a bit of a higher end PC or gaming unit and has the funds to do so but it would be a board I would definitely look into.

It also comes with a real Creative Sound Core 3D chip not just Realtek ALC 1150. Your main PCIe are 16-8-4, and if using the first two in either SLI or X-Fire you get 8x8 which is not bad. Better than 4x4. This unit right now comes with a free 8Gb stick of DDR4 too!

I was going to get a black case with a blue window the Deepcool I had linked but I think I will do a white system this next time.

Yay team....you will love it, I have never dusted this case or the one I used for 2 years. That white Deepcool is really nice but my favorite is still the Inwin because it has the sasta ports on top to mount a sata hard drive if you want.

The two triangular lights on the top both sides light blue and the thing looks positively demonic when its going with the red lights on the sides!

That's a really nice looking case and has a blend of professional looking while also looking a little bit like a gaming case.

I have never liked a case as much, I can tell you that. I bought it for the look and the utility of the plugin for the top based hard drive because it also let me take a usb sata docking station
off a crowded desk but it is there now because I love looking at it.
