GETTING JIGGY W/SYSTEMCLOCK & FRANKENSTEIN

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by David H. Lipman, Jun 10, 2009.

  1. From: "Mark Levitzki" <nospam_MetalBlade@nospam_Prodigy.net>

    | I SET MY CLOCK INTENTIONALLY AHEAD BY 20MINS SO WON'T BE LATE FOR MEETINGS,
    | USED TO BE 40 MINS 7 UPTO 1 HOUR AHEAD.
    | INTENTIONALLY!!!

    | PEOPLE WHO FOCUS ON NEWGROUPS POSTER'S CLOCK SETTING ARE SUBSTITUTING
    | DISCUSSION'S SUBSTANCE W/CHILDISH "you're that" and "you're this".
    | These people include:

    | Frank (Frankenstein)
    | Mike (M. Jackson)
    | And another Vista's boyfriend.

It is NOT 1906hrs in NYC. When I read this post it wasn't even 1800hrs.

You are posting from the future. Please fix your clock, intentional or unintentional.

    Additionally...

Please don't post in all capitol letters. In Usenet it is akin to shouting and is
considered rude as well as hard to read.

Thank you for your attention to these matters.

    | Seriously I won't change my clock, it's a psychological trick which helps
    | avoid lateness. I rush, rush, and then realize, GEE, I got 20 extra minutes
    | because my computer's clock is advanced ahead!

    | My car clock is also 20 mins ahead. It's like finding $20 on the ground
    | sometimes, you think you're late, and then a thought crawls into your head -
    | 20 minutes to go!

The psychological trick does not work. YOU need to learn real time.

Instead of setting you clock in advance (and you are posting more than an hour in the
future) you should be setting you alarms earlier.

It is MORE than annoying to see furure posts when sorting most recent to oldest.

You need to consider others not just yourself.

Well, just how educated would you think their janitorial, cafeteria, or
grounds maintenance staffers need to be?

  10. Where do you see my clock "more than an hour" ahead?

    Right now it shows 11:42PM,
My CableTV and WorldClock.com show 11:22PM EDT
Where is "more than an hour"?? It's 20 minutes, I am talking about
    SystemClock on taskbar (right-bottom corner).

Why is this Group so particulate.....

  11. City College of the City Universoty of NY - GROVE School of Engineering
    here.
That same one who gave you Intel CEO Andrew Grove (real Jewish name - Andras
    Graas, hailing from Hungary 1945)
That same shcool who gave you Colin Powel (not that I like him, but... US
State Secretary & US top military commander is something...)
    Mario Runco - an Astronaut

Miki... whatever his Japanese name is, a Nobel Prize winner in Theoretical
    Physics
    KeySpan CEO (forgot his name)
Many of my bosses & company Presidents...

No MIT here, I entered it into setp as it was my dream to continue on to
MSEE at MIT, but due to MONEY I was forced to get MSEE again from City
COllege, and PhD... well, a kind of useless degree in modern America. I
never managed to make mone to afford MIT.

  12. Actually some Trolls listen, make records and forward to Authorities.

    Be careful.

Where do they record the records and why would the authorities listen to
    their music?

You are too stupid to figure out how to change your clock. HA HA HA HA

You should donate your computer and get an Etch-A-Sketch.

  18. The fact that you focus on somebody's clock, whereby that somebody publicly
stated (although not even required to apologize publicly) that Clock is
intentionally set forward as a habit (to prevent lateness for meetings/etc.)
is a proof of you having nothing better todo all day long.

Your job is to monitor people's clocks.
    Nice profession.
