Drop down menus

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Frank Parmelee, Jun 23, 2009.

  1. Is there a way to control which side of a drop down menus choices display?
Currently they come out on the left and I prefer the right. How is this
    changed?

    Hi, Frank.

I'm afraid you'll have to be a lot more specific about just which menus you
are talking about. For many, it depends on their location on your screen,
plus the current size of the window in which they appear - and several other
dynamic factors. Especially for "fly-out" menus, such as sub-menus of Start
    | All Programs, the same menu may appear on the left in some cases and on
the right in others. I don't have time to check out all the permutations
just now, but you can try a few and see what results you get.

You probably will get different behavior in Word, in Windows Explorer, in
Internet Explorer...and in various third-party programs - and in different
places within each program. If you mention a specific example, someone MAY
be able to make a suggestion.
