Dragon naturally speaking , version 7 and Vista

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Edward Woloson, Oct 6, 2009.

  1. I have installed Dragon Naturally Speaking for professionals version 7 onto a new Dell laptop with Vista OS. The voice-recognition initially works well but then the program freezes. I cannot afford to purchase version 10 for approximately $800. The program works reasonably well with Microsoft XP.I called the manufacturer who stated that there was an incompatibility issue with Vista and they would not upgrade from version 7 to 10. They had no solutions.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

  2. The version you are using was released six years ago and that's pretty much
a lifetime in computer years. If the vendor won't fix or support it any
longer your choices would be to upgrade or to switch to a supported product.
