Dell 1520 vista

hello group, i have a Dell 1520 latop with OEM vista home, less than 3 years
old and with dell getting ready to start selling laptops with windows 7 in
Oct

i am wondering will dell offer a upgrade to my vista OS ?/

Probably for a price. I don't believe they will for a 3 year old. When XP
was going to be introduced Dell upgraded Win ME machines that were purchased
within the last 6 months IIRC before XP was introduced. I think they did
the same for XP to Vista. I would expect the same with Vista to Win 7. It
would really be nice to have a free upgrade but don't hold your breath.

You should since only they know what their upgrade plans are. They may not
be ready to announce them at this time as Windows 7 is still not RTM yet.
