Corrupted word attachments

    You CAN set Windows to show the full file names with extensions. My
    guess is these files have a .PDF extension, which is why Acrobat Reader
    can view them.

    I got rid of the widgets, turned off user account controls, and have
    been well satisfied with Vista.

    I've been running with UAC off since about 30 minutes after installing
    Vista. I found all the UAC crap so freaking annoying while trying to
    install all of my programs that it was the FIRST tweak I applied.
    I've never regretted it.
