  2. Seeing as how you can no longer obtain Comodo Firewall by itself I must
ask - did you by chance install their anti virus program also by mistake.
You should only have one program that is actively scanning at a given
    instance.

Do a system restore before the problem then check to make sure you did
not install two active antivirus programs. That can cause a great deal
    of problems.

Hi Richard , although you d/l both together , you have a choice during
install of using one or both .

hey guys thanks for the replies...

i made sure that i installed just the firewall, it does give you the
option, however i google online and found a solution and it worked, i
had to restart the lisence and something else and then control panel
opened, as i started up my pc today i checked to see and it done the
same thing, so i closed it then re tried and it opened so iam going to
keep checking cause its soo strange that it happened after the two
installs. avast and firewall seem to be running fine at the moment.

i have question thoe, those who use comodo firewall do you set it to
maximum security? i did and iam wondering is that a problem or is that
    the best option.

    cheers

  6. Yes, I am well aware of that. It is why I asked if he inadvertently
installed the AV component along with his other AV program.

hey everybody iam still having issues accessing the control panel time
to time...it seems sometimes it opens it but sometimes it just freezes
up and says control panel is not responding? shall i try and unistall
comodo firewall and see if thats the problem, cause this started to
happen after the install of comodo firewall and avast. i however did
find a solution that did allow me to open it soon as i followed this
instructions but its doing it again.

    appreciate the help
