Control Panel/Networking Freezes

    Vista machine. Click on Control Panel, Network and Sharing. It takes about
    2 minutes before a screen actually appears. And when it does, nothing on
    the screen is functional. Not even the minimize or close . All other items
    on the control panel work as advertised. Any thoughts?

    This is an recurring OS bug and can be resolved as below:

    Go to Start... type in services.msc ...Press Enter... Scroll down
    list and highlight SLUI Notification Service (make sure Automatic button
    shows)... Press Start button...

    Problem will be fixed with Windows 7, or a Vista patch in the meantime.
