It takes me like 5-10 attempts to get the Cisco VPN client to connect. When
it fails to connect, it returns the following.

Reason 442: Failed to enable Virtual adapter

I dont get these on XP.

As I also mentioned, it does connect eventually after trying a few times.

    Thanks

    Hi Hassan,

You might have an out-of-date VPN Client? Version 5.x is compatible with
Vista. If you have a support contract with Cisco, you can download an
updated client for free. Otherwise, contact your network administrator, to
    get an updated Vista-compatible client.

If you already have version 5 of VPN Clinet, see this entry about 442
errors, in the Cisco VPN Client 5.0 README doc:

    Hope it helps,

Same problem with my VPN client. I'm running latest version of Cisco
VPN Client. Also I spend all day with Cisco Support and they couldn't
find solution. They'll get back to me in 72 hours
