After downloading IE8 update, I am no longer able to insert a hyperlink to a
web site in an e-mail (Windows Mail). Any suggestions?

    Hi, neild1.

Are you sure? How about if you Save your draft and then open the Draft and
    click the URL there?

The links have never been clickable from within the Compose window. But
they work in Drafts, or in the Outbox - or in a received message, such as
when we get back one of our own newsgroup posts or when the recipient of our
email quotes it when replying to us - or when we simply send the email to
    ourselves.

Not in drafts, but it does work in Sent, or in replies back to me, where it
counts. I never realized that. Thanks for you help, RC White.
