Hi, I am running Vista Home Premium and my defrag tool will not defrag
all of the fragmented files. It looks to be system volume files and also
cache files. I try to open these files but access is denied. Should I
worry about this or have I got a setting wrong? Please help

  2. You can not defrag files that are open and in use. There are many that are
in this state just by using Windows.

you should get Cash + a Girlfriend; stop worrying about WIndows Cache -
it'ds on constant use and therefore cannot be defragmented as it'll move
somewhere else every moment, it's in flux.
