I run vista 32 home premium. My Pc was having blue screen errors. I ran
every test that my pc could run ad everything passed. I was still having
crashes so I decided to do a system recovery hoping that it would fix
the problem. After doing a back up and system recovery the pc restarted
and reformated the disk for windows. Everything was fine for about 2
minutes after the desk top loaded. Anoter blue screen and when it went
to boot i got a boot failure please insert disk and press enter. I
created a boot disk because i do not have the software for my pc because
it got lost in a move. Anyway the boot up disk booted to pc doctor. I
did every test that it would do everything is passing but i still get
the boot error. I would like to save some money and fix it myself but i
really need some help. What other information do u need or what advice
can u give me. The pc is only 1 year old :(

    Lots of suspects here ...

Loose cabling/connections. Bad solder-joint on motherboard. Memory chips
    (RAM) going bad.
*Video card* seated slightly crooked in it's slot, or simply getting ready
    to die.

(On my older computer, it was my Matrox video card that went ka-put ...)

Can you call a vendor and talk to tech-support? Maybe get more clues that
    way.

    good luck,
    Net Blue

What computer make/model are you using? Sometimes you will get BSOD with
bad drivers or drivers not made for Vista.

Disconnect any unnecessary devices, external drives, printers, scanners,
webcam, etc. Maybe even remove cards if you added any.

To fix boot problem, just boot up with the Windows Vista DVD, assuming you
have one. It should be able to detect the startup problem and offer to fix
    it.
