Blocked program at startup

Windows Defender, I think, reports a program has been blocked at startup,
but when I click on the menu to investigate, I can find no problem.

Vista Home Basic, 32-bit, SP2. I cannot find any reference to the blocked
program. AVG is up-to-date, I can see no hint of malware, but will run
    superantivirus and malwarebytes.

Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks in advance.

I suspect UAC (user account control) may be blocking your program at
start-up. Have you checked your UAC settings?
