Switching OS's doesn't make people any smarter. There are vulnerabilities in every OS and will continue to be.
In addition OS's are relatively secure compared to all the addons which are now the primary target of
    attackers. More info here:

Linux is security by oblivion, as no one is using it, and no one is
    after it.

    That's changing for Linux.

Linux is not in vulnerable to attack.

Now, malware writers are coming after Open Source and Linux, because
lots of the ignorant like Alias have their guard down, thinking Linux is
    invulnerable to attack.

Anything that runs with the O/S can be attacked, and therefore, the O/S
    can be attacked too.

You should have said, "you insult the *subscribers* to this news group",
but you're not known for your communication skills, only for your lies,
insults, profanity, animal sex and bluster.

That said, you don't speak for anyone but yourself here, buddy, and not
    very well at that.

Your ignorance of technical matters is noted.

Linux web servers have had issues, MS web servers have had even more.
However, the SQL issue has little to do with the OS. If you want to
pick on Linux web servers, at least do the research to find some
problems that are related to the OS.

Noted: It's just another excuse for Linux, and Linux Web servers are no
more secure than there is a man in the Moon is the bottom line.

    <http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/09/12/linux_zombies_push_malware/>

And if the desktop versions of Linux ever take off with any popularity,
or that Linux Chrome and Google think takes off, then Linux is going to
to exposed as the Swiss Cheese it really is.

Since you're so technical there, maybe you can help me figure out how to
add asmx(s) to Telrik Dynamic RadDocks, which is part of the project I
    am working on.

100 servers that had weak passwords. Whoopty doo. Compare that to the
hundreds of thousands of Windows machines and it's not even a tenth of a
    drop in the bucket.

Now the Windroid pulls out his crystal ball:

What difference does it make 1, 100, or 1,000,000, the potential to
attack the undiscovered exploits are there and will be there?

If Linux popularity grows in the home sector, they are coming after
Linux, and they will breach it coming after the $$$$$$.

You're just a home user of the lowest caliber, so you don't count.

Um, weak passwords are one thing. Exploitable operating systems are
another. Your silly article said the servers were compromised with
password sniffers, not that Linux servers are inherently exploitable.
