Prices have finally dropped even more now, probably due to Intel's Skylake recent release. These are still very good processors and if you have the board that will run them may present a much more affordable alternative rather than upgrading to Skylake, especially given Intel Skylake (socket 1151) is a very marginal boost from the previous Intel generation.

I was impressed with the 8320 and it is well priced for what it offers.

I am sure I would be as happy with an FX 8320 as I am with my current I5.

I was really surprised and impressed as I hadn't used any recent AM3+ cpus. I will be back with those. I did build an FX 4300 quad
in a barebones unit from Infotel for a cheap client and I was impressed with it which is why I wanted to go further but was a little leary of the 125 watts.

That is the computer processor I have that FX8350 and I really like it. it does everything I need it to do and I am a pretty heavy gaming type guy. I also use it for my schoolwork or anything else and it's just a great processor really :)

And you can feel pretty good about that FX 8350 the new Intel is good but it's really a marginal boost over the previous gen. I finally see some games where the multithreading is being used coming out too and if you think about it since most of what we get game wise on the PC is console driven anyway yet to come out and they are AMD centric multicore you should be fine for at least a few years. There are some games for sure where you see the FPS difference but only when you match the processor with a true strong mid-tier card, or a higher end card then the Intel separates itself more. Dying Light and Crysis 3 being examples. To be honest though my AMD system plays them just as well and I enjoy them just as much on my own FX 6120 R7 265 system that I recently put together from spare parts and a new card as long as I manipulate some settings. On Dying Light I lower the resolution from 1920X1080 to 1600X900 and use medium settings and 1/4 draw distance and I get 45+ FPS at all times spiking higher. AMD works well if you know what you are doing, and certainly your FX 8350 is better than my own FX 6120.
