I have a You Tube Video Downloader from ytdownloader.com that does not seem to be able to download some of the videos I try. Is there a better recommended free YT downloader I should try??

I for one wouldn't recommend anything..... and definitely not 'ytdownloader'
Using third-party apps to download videos is against YouTube's terms of service, which say you can only stream videos directly from its servers.

Like the quote says, you could well be infringing copyright..... as well as adding adware to your system.

I haven't done this for a long time. I have a version 5.9.7 and something that says YTD484. Is it best I uninstall these? Used to be I downloaded many but I guess this must have stopped somewhere along the way. Had an AllFree YTD and the ones from Greentree. I guess you just view them now. Is that correct? I was not aware things had changed.

Version 5.9.7 is the latest version..... 484 is an old version ( from about 2014 )
So version 484 needs to go.
I'm not sure why anyone would want to download the videos.... they're always there, so they're readily available.
