Xp With No Internet

    Hard Drive:
    OCZ Technology 30 GB Vertex Series SATA II Solid State Drive, And a couple other HDD's for storage
    Graphics Card:
    XFX Radeon HD 4870
    Power Supply:
    Antec 750w
    ok so i have a computer that is having problems, it is windows xp and I cannot connect to the internet, its just a no name emachines dual core with windows xp I ran malwarebyte and avast which i loaded through safe mode(I can connect to the internet in safe mode) even in safe mode i can not update avast, but i can update malwarebytes. does any one have a virus software that might take care of this(when i ran a non updated avast and malwarebytes it came up with almost 2000 viruses and malware but is still not working)
