Does anyone know if it is possible to upconvert dvd's on the 360?

I am talking about normal DVD's, not HD-DVD.

I thought I had checked before and my DVD's were being upconverted to 1080i, but either I was hullicinating then or it* has since stopped upconverting my movies.

Anyone know what the story is with the 360 and upconverting playback of standard DVD's?
