Hi Guys. WOT Site Advisor has Computer Help Forums, with a Blue Question mark, instead of a Green Ring (Trusted Site)
Blue Question mark means no one has voted on our Site,as Safe.

WOT is helpful only if it designates a site as unsafe with some backup. I have long ago relegated it to the bin. It relies on user input rather than actual site testing.

While I am not a fan of McAfee products in general McAfee site adviser actually test the sites. There are false readings there as well but in general it is far more reliable.

There are a lot of People, that use WOT.

We don't have to like it, or use it.

If those people with WOT, click on CHF, and it has a Green Ring, then it looks better for us.

Just trying to cover all bases.:)

Norton Safe Web lists this site as 'Untested'. Although some have a low opinion of Norton, they do have a large user base. In view of that, it might be as well to apply to get the site rated. There is a link in this page where the rating procedure can presumably be started (where is says 'Site Owner? Click here'):

I will happily click away at anything that will show we are exactly what we are - a safe, caring site great for both adults and kids.

May need a wee bit of help with this, though (oooh, to run out of coffee is a cruel thing indeed! :cryz:).....

Once the Norton Safe Web is set up for us, that will be great ... and regarding the WOT, I have a question please.

When I click on the little blue circle with the white question mark in it beside our name, a little box pops up. And when I click on the extreme right green dot on each of the rows, nothing seems to happen. Is there something I'm to do next, I wonder?

    Thanks!

Several things just to note of course and not to denigrate any one or anything.
First I do agree with BCB , WOT is not a sign of expert testing and is only a user rating system, though this works, it could be open to abuse at any time in the future by unscrupulous folk wishing to promote their own site as clean when it isn't etc.
In order to submit ratings for any site yourself, you must register with WOT, click on the circle and you will see a register now link on the lower right, click that and follow instructions. Although not registered myself, I have investigated it and it seems straight forward with only the normal personal details required, such as user name, E Mail address and age. (you can lie about that last one, I doubt it would be investigated)
Their privacy policy is also up to standard too so no worries there.

Hi Plastic Nev - great to see you here and that's ever so much for your post!

Actually, we're in the midst of creating 'Beginner's Basics' tutorials and have made a note of this - thanks again!
