Wondering About A Little Poetry Thread In Here?

Personally, and I do mean personally, I dont see the point or revelance to a poetry or music post in a 'HELP' forum.
I know this is just my opinion but maybe we should be closer to what we do here.

 

I think your opinion means a lot,
after all you are one of the guys who helps us with our problems and you of all people
know what is needed in these kinds of forums.

General chat is a place to play,
to show what we do with our PC's all day,
Photography, Film, Music, stories or what ever your forte,
General chat is a place to show how you play,
to be a tech and answer questions all day,
is our prime forte
but an area here to show our play
can help to pass the time away.
and encourage our members to stay,
to return for help another day,
so in it's place I say,
we should encourage our members to play.

I'm giving my thoughts

Over the years including before we got here this site in its various incarnations has had close to 30,00 topics or threads started. When we came along we actually had one staff member who's main job was to try to give our members something to do on the site when they are not having issues.

We have many members who are not savvy enough to help others on the tech threads but they too are the backbone of this forum. So I have no issue with this topic.

Now, Kayrose, what I do take issue with is the music thread. Here is why. Often we post youtube videos for various reasons and often they are music. However just having a single thread demonstrating one member's preferences in music invites duplication by others to do the same. That is not what we are about and if it becomes to prevalent it could become a problem.

The difference between this thread and the music thread is that this one requires creativity much as graphics and photos do. The posts are the product of a member's creativity. The music thread really does not rise to that standard.

Bonnie's post with her daughter demonstrating her beautiful voice and Kayrose's talanted son on the piano are wonderful posts and belong on the forum. You both should be proud and we are fortunate to be even remotely connected.

There is a big difference between that kind of post and just posting video's for their own sake. Again this differs from posting a video that may be related to something such as a holiday, etc. This is not a criticism but I do feel that if that continues other videos that have a point will go unread.

I am not about to do anything in furtherance of my opinion. I am just one member adding to the discussion.

Seriously there is nothing to defend and nothing or no one to get "mad" at.

This has nothing to do with an attack on any member. In fact, it really is much ado about nothing.

Crying releases poisons all embedded in your soul

to release hate ,sadness, anger, depression , whatever it may be
It will only enhance one's life, so g'wan do it , and you will see.

So many guys tell me that men are not suppose to cry.
well i'm here to tell you , that is a down right lie.

that's the trouble with our great men today.
trying to stifle their pain in another way.

cry, cry, cry, just do it and you'll feel such tranquility
YOur whole bod(y) will be filled with awesome serenity.

If you cry when your heart is breaking
It will sure release some of that aching
Takes a strong man to cry
Easier for women, dont know why

So, just so you know it sure ain't no sin
Once you have released those tears

As water cleans out much of the poisons we ensue
Tears clean out some of our hurts, inside me and you.

I know when i have had a good cry

cleanses my soul as well as my body
works much better than a hottt toddy
