    I have a Toshiba Satellite 2515CDS laptop that's about 10 years old.
It has USB and windows 98. Would I be able external usb wireless
for it, would I have to update to a newer version of windows, or would
I have to get another computer to use wireless? Thanks.

    Windows 7
    Computer Brand or Motherboard:
ASUS - are there any others worth buying?
    CPU:
Q6600 at 4.0Ghz per core (Watercooled)
    Memory:
    OCZ PC8500 4x1GB sticks
    Hard Drive:
    Samsung - all the way
    Graphics Card:
    XFX 260GTX rev 1
    Power Supply:
    Seasonic 600Watt
    Technically yes it should work.
Minimum requirements of the PC/Lappy is 500MHz CPU and 128MB RAM for Wireless.
BUT you will have to check that the card/USB dongle software is capable of supporting Windows 98.

Actually, I think there's more than one HP Presario A900. The old kind,
which is what I have, I think just says "Pentium" for the processor and
nothing else when I check it in My Computer->Properties. So, would I
be correct to assum that this is one of the original pentiums and is
    much slower than 500 MHz?

When you right click on "My Computer" and select properties (if I remember correctly from windows 98) it should give you the processor speed. If not go to your control panel and select system and then device manager. Select "processors" and it will give you all that information.
