Windows Srvr 08 R2 as workstation: streaming audio issue

    I'm using Windows Srvr 08 R2 as a workstation and have it configured to look
    and feel like windows 7, however, I'm having streaming audio and/or video
    issues. I do a lot of online meetings and use a VIOP softphone for my
    business. The problem is that as the content comes streaming through, every
    few minutes it starts stuttering. For example, when listening to someone
    across the VIOP line they will be talking, then the sound starts to break
    up, then the sound bites will repeat themselves ("bla bla
    lalalalalalalalalala...... bla"). All of these tools and services have
    been running fine for a very long time, then last week I reformatted my
    vista 64 machine and installed windows 2008 rs. Everything runs much better
    now (no crashes so far...!) except for this issue. Since I depend on online
    meetings and the VIOP softphone for my business, is there anything I can do
    to resolve this issue?

    Many thanks!

    Did you install the correct motherboard and audio drivers? And make sure the
    motherboard BIOS is up-to-date? Or it might be an audio codec issue;
    although old, the ones from might help.
    Have you tried re-installing the VOIP software? Have you checked to see if
    it should run on Server 2008 R2?
