    Hi,

We've setup a new website for a customer, but their previous website
was hosted on their own windows server. what's happening now is that
anyone trying to get to the new website by typing in
http://www.websitename.com in IE from a domain client within their
organisation just gets the page cannot be found error.
But it works fine from any connected pc outside their organisation, ie
    my home pc for example.
I think what's happening is that anything typed in the address bar with
their 'organisations name.com ' isn't getting to the outside world, but
is getting filtered in some way by the domain server, which has the same
    .com name.
Anybody have any ideas or pointers as to where to look to resolve this
issue, without performing major heart surgery on their server?

If their internal domain name (in AD) is the same as their public domain
name, this is a common issue. You will need to create a host record (A or
address record) called WWW, and specify the public IP address used by the
external hosting company. Not a big deal to do.
