Aside : Rich M will like this. Have decided to add Verizon TV to my phone/Fios High Speed Internet bundle.

Issue: Have a lot of trouble with windows live mail refusing to send and boxes saying outgoing server is wrong or cant be found, yet on Properties server names have not changed and on XP Outlook Express servers are the same, same email address and they send and receive fine.
On the W7 WLM I tried 3 times, they built up in outbox, I removed the little " ; " it puts there and tried to send, did not succeed, then could no longer open the one remaining because other 2 disappeared, so I deleted.
What gives. Many times it wont send when I click send and then Send/Receive over and over. Usually it sends immediately.
I really hate WLM 12.I have a guest email account which is verizon and never a problem except on WLM on windows 7. All settings seem correct.None of other 5 PCs have a problem and use same email address and same servers.

You might need to contact Verizon as to the configuration of the email servers. I know with Centurylink (I have them) you have to manually set it up to input the correct incoming/out going servers and what ports they use. Give them a ring and see what they say.

Funny thing is, it isnt all the time. It is at certain times and I had supposed it was heavy usage and this was only message box it had to show. Soon it is is instantly fast again. As nearly as I can tell the settings are the same on both computers. Just thought I would ask anyway, just in case.

Live Mail does not have a big store like Outlook and other email programs have. By any chance do you leave a lot in your Inbox?
Delete Box? Anywhere? That could slow down the process at times BG.

Storage Folders are OK BG it's the Delete box being stuffed or the Inbox that slows down the program.

Check the server time out settings and also make sure the you have check mark in Leave a copy of the message on the server.

This way it has longer if needed before it times out. If for what ever reason it is having issues you can at least check you email through another email client or the web site.
