    I am trying to install IIS on a 64bit 2003 machine buit its Windows file
    protection is saying

    Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the
    DLL cache.

    Any ideas?

  2. HEllo Joey,
    Check the event log, it should record the name of the missing files in the
    events.

    Thanks,
    Darrell Gorter[MSFT]

    It is giving me all kinds of problems. This is a machine that was sysprepred
    and not adding componets is asking for sp2 cd and some files cannot be found

    adding iis is looking for

    wiismap.dll

    Its not in the amd64 folder.

    I tried running sfc /scannow and its says
    <!--coloro:blue--><span style="color:blue <!--/coloro-->
    >Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to

    > | >DLL cache.<!--colorc--><!--/colorc-->

    Insert your service pack 2 cd-rom now.

    why is it giving this? I put my cd rom in there but still ask for that.

  4. Hello Joey,
    Depends on the label of the SP2 cd whether it has the right label or not as
    whether it recognizes the CD properly.
    I would guess
    | >wiismap.dll
    is a 32-bit file so it may be in the i386 folder on the media
    The W indicates it is a 32-bit file and will be removed when copy to the
    hard drive
    Thanks,
    Darrell Gorter[MSFT]
