Hi Misty, can you be a bit more specific please, what sort of manual, roughly how big in KB or MB if known, and where is this manual, is it on an ordinary website or one of the many file hosting sites. A link to the manual would be useful.
A lot depends on how the hosting website is holding the manual, as in some cases due to copyrights or other issues, the owner could have made it not possible to download it for your own storage, and is only possible to read it on line.
Hence why we need more information, as I said if possible a link to the online site so we can see for ourselves.

    Nev.

I'd like to also ask what browser you're using. Most people are using Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox. Typically, if you can read a document on-line, you may be able to download it. How to download it will vary depending on your browser. As Plastic Nev said, a link to the manual would be very useful.

Manuals are in PDF format. Most are copyrighted or Password protected.
I downloaded the test manual to my computer no problem .
Although I could burn the cd I was unable to convert the PDF to Word format as the manual is Password Protected.
They can still be burnt to a CD.
I just ran a test with a 220 page manual which fitted on a CD.
I inserted the CD, Opened the PDF file, clicked on "send to" and selected CD/DVD burner and worked fine.
Did take a while to burn though.
Re inserted the CD and read the manual off the CD.
    I use Adobe Reader
