    Hi,

Recently my Acer PC has had the Blue Screen of Death. Now when I boot the pc is goes straight into Startup Repair. The first time it did this it did not find a solution but I was able to go to a backup and when it restarted I able to successfully load. I then started transferring files to my usb.

As I was transferring a lot of my files, I can't remember if I got another BLOF or it just restarted but ever since then it just boots straight into Startup Repair, which cannot find a solution, but I have used my backups already so I don't have any more backups to go to.

Here is a log of what Startup Repair gives about the problem:

Any ideas on what I can do now? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can you give us the error code on the BSOD? If it flashes by without you being able to read it tap F8 while the computer is booting up and before windows start to load. When you get to the Advanced Boot Options page select disable Automatic Restart on System Failure and the ble screen will remain.
Have you tried booting into safemode or "Last known good configuration"?

Are you hearing any odd noises when your computer starts to boot (grinding or clicking) and, finally, any beeps?

Startup repair offline is the first issue..
Do you have a Windows disk to try a repair from?

    Hi,

I am unable to get the error code on the BSOD. It does not show up when the computer is booting up. What happens when the computer boots is it shows enter F12 for loaded out options and press delete for Settings. THen is shows a screen where windows is loading files and a loading bar across the bottom. Then it goes into startup repair.

No odd noises in the hard drive when it boots or when its on. It is a bit louder though.

I have not been able to boot from last known configuration but have not tried safe mode. The computer doesn't give me the option to boot from safe mode when it loads.

I do have the windows 7 disc.
