Windows 7 Networking

    I just bought 2 brand new windows 7 computers and i need to network them
    i have no idea really on how to network them :(
    i was wondering if anyone knows how to network them and what do i need for that to happen?

    The first thing you need to do is determine how they are to be connected to each other. Are they to be wireless or hard wired. I would suggest that you first visit the "Network and Sharing Center" in your control panel. You will need to set a "home Group."

    If you can give us some more information about the machines in question we can give you more detailed instructions. Perhpaps not me but someone!:rolleyes:

    First how do you intend to connect the two computers, Through a router or direct to each other? wireless or wired? but here are a coulpe of links that you might want to read through, and then post back and give us a more specific Idea of what you want to do or how would be the best way for you to go

    This one is windows 7, Vista specific and unless you know the basics of networking may well be a step to far just yet. but then again it might be the information that you require

    This also depends on how you get the internet, is it a modem? does it have a router?
    and where the PCs are situated, and their distance from the modem/router.
