How is everyone running there scheduled task scripts without command available?

Can one just copy cmd.exe from a windows 2003 server and have it run scripts
    on a windows 2008 server?

I'm not sure what you mean. CMD.exe is built in. This might be a dumb question on my part, but have you tried going to Start/Run and type in CMD, then enter?
