    Hi.

Read everything I can find on screensavers, which mostly has to do with XP; I have Windows 2000 Professional. When I click to download a free screensaver, it only saves as a .zip file. It doesn't matter if I save it to the C:\WINNT\system32 file. All of the other screensavers are preceded by "ss", i.e "ssbeziers," and the system recognizes it as such -- but with this one, it's just a random .zip file. Opening is no good -- it asks what application to open it WITH.

    Little help?

You need to extract the contents of the zip file, using something like WinZIP, and then copy the .scr file to the directory with the rest of the screensavers on the system. I haven't done it in a while, but I remember there being an 'install' item in the right-click menu of .scr files, that will register it for inclusion in the list of screen savers in the display dialog.
