    I would go with the Samsung but if you get a lemon forget where you heard that. :)

    In order for us to let you know the best for your budget, you really need to know what the monitors primary use is, some monitors are better for gaming as they dont 'ghost' whereas some are better for video editing due to the colour vibrancy

    Let us know what the primary use is, if it is just everyday browsing and emails then it wouldnt matter in the slightest which you get

    The other minor point is that the Samsung doesn't have an DVI-D connector, which may or maybe not important depending how you connect to your computer.
