Where to download SHOWGRPS utility from ?

    Where to download SHOWGRPS utility from ?

    It show the group membership of user in a friendly format that can be easily
    imported into an excell.

    It tried Google, but couldn't find a place to download it from.
    I found references to NT 4.0 Resource Kit that needs to be ordered ($$).

    If you know specific network location to download SHOWGRPS from, please let
    me know.

    When you Googled for it, did the following result show up?

    SMS (Systems Management Server): Showgrps Tool Added to Support.exe in SMS
    Service Pack 2. Oct 27, 2006 ... The Showgrps.exe tool is added to Service
    Pack 2 through the Support.exe file. on how to obtain the...

    You don't need SMS. DOwnload the pack and extract it with the /x option. It
    will extract it to a directory of your choice.

    I don't email executables or files, sorry.

    In other words, I downloaded it and from the dos window typed "sms20sp2i
    /x", but it does not unpack.

    Have you tried it ?

    No, I haven't, sorry. It's been awhile since I last used SMS. But what I can
    tell you is if you run it, even though you don't have SMS, it will still
    extract it to a temp folder.

    SMS: How to Obtain and Install Systems Management Server 2.0 Service Pack 2


    The following is quoted from the above article.

    "The file is unzipped to the %Temp% folder. By default, this is the c:\temp
    folder. A message stating that the unzip was successful is generated, and
    the Service Pack Setup Wizard then starts."

    When it start and give you an error saying it's not installed, don't hit ok
    or Close, rather go the folder where it extracted it, and look for the
    support.exe file. Copy that elsewhere. Don't hit Close just yet. Try to
    install that file. The showgrps should be part of it.
