Welcome screen log-in

    Everytime I come to the WindowsXP welcome screen to log in, when I type in my password, it appears as squares instead of the normal black dots. Is there any way to fix this? I does not happen if I use the other type of log-in, though. Any help would be greatly aprreciated.

    I've never seen that happen and don't have a clue about what would cause that.

    Thanks for responding. I contacted Dell about the issue (since I didn't want to pay $35 for Microsoft to help me) and they told me to adjust the dpi settings....which worked and that was all the problem was. Thanks.
