Weird offline files behaviour...

    Hi,
A domain user has always used the offline-files feature with his XP Pro
computer. After a server (DC) upgrade from 2003 to 2008 he suddenly
started to see Access Denied errors on all files in the Sync window.
All other users have no problems after the server upgrade. These files
are in his home folder, and he still has full write / modify access to
    this home folder.

When I try to enable offline-sync from this client to other shares on
the file server everything works as normal. This user has equal
security permissions over his home folder as all other users have over
    theirs.

I have tried to reset the CSC cache and also given extended permissions
to the \windows\CSC folder, but the problem persists.

Since everything works ok when he tries to make other shares available
offline, the CSC engine seems to work ok, but why doesn't it work with
his 'ordinary' home folder? As mentioned above, he has the appropriate
permissions for the home folder and its subfolders and files.

Thanks a lot for comments or suggestions on this

    regards

    Jake

Nobody having a clue on this? I have reset the CSC cache and even
deleted its physical folders. Then I log in as the user and try to
reinit the CSC cache again. Access denied.

I try to make a folder in a common share available. No problems or no
errors. The I try to make a folder in this user's home folder available
offline. Error: Access denied on every file. The user has Full control
except Special permissions from his home folder's root level and down to
    the lowest file.

If anyone has some suggestions, please pop in
