I've never used Ubuntu before and my wife bought me a Dell Vostro a90 running Ubuntu. I started it up out of the box and immediately found I could not connect to the internet via wifi. When I click on the Wireless Connect in the upper left hand corner my wireless network shows up and I can try to select it. A Wireless Network Key Required box pops up and I enter my password for the router but when I hit connect it seems to TRY to connect and then the Wireless Network Key Required box pops up again asking for my password. I know my password is correct, my wifi works (have another computer on the network), I've tried cycling power to the router/modem/a90, called Dell (apparently they don't offer TECHNICAL support for Ubuntu) and can't figure it out. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated! Again, I've never used Ubuntu before so if I ask a lot of questions please bear with me. Also the manual configuration didn't work either

OK first off I know nothing about linux or ubantu. That being said, it seems to me that it should not matter if you have properly set your network options. That, of course, does not say very much since you would have to know how to do that in ubantu.

There are people here who are familiar with it so a little patience may be needed today.

First thing to do is connect it with an ethernet cable and run an update, including any restricted drivers that are suggested.

    Is it Ubuntu 9.10 btw?
