    Hello,

I wonder what is the best viruscanner to b used on a 64b win2008 server with
    +/- 300 clients?

    Regards,
    N.

  2. Hello nico,

There is no best, that's mostly a view from yourself. We use Sophos AntiVirus
    for servers and clients.

    Best regards

We use Symantec End Point Protection 11 MR4 with networks from 5 users
to 500 users, great product, so far we've never had a compromised
network, but the AV is only a small part of the solution.

Symantec End Point Protection for Servers and Workstations - seems to
grab most things if you install all of it.

As mentionted, there is no 'best' AV. I prefer McAfee Enterprise for my customers, more so because I'm familiar with it, and it has done a good job for my customers. It also has an antimalware component. There are many others out there with similar features, and are all competitively priced.

  7. Leythos,

    Thanks for the link.
    I will look into it.
PC Connection had 4 versions (2- 5 user & 2- 10 user) but did not give
    indication what was different.
Will figure it out when I get back the end of the week.

I use CDW.com for all my orders, at least most of them. I call my rep
and say I need Symantec End Point Protection for Servers and
Workstations, version 11, and how many licenses, and he sends me a
    quote.

Make sure you DOWNLOAD the latest MR version.
