urgent help needed

    Hi!

    Im a computer rookie, Ive P IV 2.6 GHz 512 DDR, Interl 875 motherboard with integrated NIC and video running on winxp SP 2. iv two problems

    1. Im unable to install any PCI device in my computer. Ive just added a PCI Sound card to test, it detects the card loads the driver (crystal soundfusion) but it is not showing speaker icon. In control panel, sounds and devices it says no audio device, i tried to install it on a different pci slot but no. Last time i tried to install a firewire card which was working fine on my other comp but refuses to install on this computer.

    2. In my network sudden;y one day all computers running in win98 (intel 810, 128 ms ram, surecom PCI NIC 1 ghz) disappeared from network, the light is on in the hub but it does not ping?????
    bur ocassionally it pings for 10 - 12 times then stops.

    Anyone having a clue plz help.
