Uploading telephone message to computer?

    Running W7 HP on Dell desktop. Recently had a spam-type phone message on my landline phone that was intended to be a scare invoking the IRS but is absolutely hilarious. I'm still laughing about it. The phone is an ordinary AT&T desk type with answering function built in. Is it possible to upload this message into my computer so I can share it with others?

    Thanks for your response. After posting my question here I looked on DuckDuckGo and it seems this is not unusual. Just ordered a $10 usb-configured microphone and there are step-by-step directions on WikiHow. Possibly some software needed, I'll see how it goes!

    I use my microphone and Windows Media Player with the phone or answering machine on speaker and record phone messages that way.

    Finally got the usb microphone and the time to try it, came with instructions but I'm not yet confident in making changes. I arrived at at these boxes from Control Panel:

    Just being careful, I don't want to do anything that results in a change that cannot be easily undone. Advice?

    Just plug it in and keep the default settings as is and it should be good to go.

    Thanks for responding. Notice that the second box mentions a "Rear panel 3.5 mm jack." I don't know what that is. The mic has a usb plug. As you can see by the attached photo, there are no available usb ports on the rear of the case, but I have a usb hub that I can use to share one of the ports back there. Is that ok?

    My microphones all have the 3 mm plugs.
    Using the USB hub should be fine.
    You will probably need to allow Windows to recognize the usb microphone and it should install the correct driver for it.
    This usually only takes a minute and then will be ready for use.
    Most microphones are plug and play devices.

    All you need to do is add a photo to it to upload to YouTube.
    You can do that with Windows Live Movie Maker.
    It's very simple to do.
    Open the Windows Live Movie Maker and drag a photo into the window.
    Click Add music – Add music from PC then choose the song or audio file you want to upload on YouTube.
    Hit Open and then click Project – Fit to Music.

    You can download the Win Movie maker for free HERE

    There are many on the internet that will go well with the audio file.

    Well, I've been all around the block with this. MS refused my account info and required a new account, multiple steps, email, phone, etc. The end result is, the account is not available for one month. Grrr!

    I have no problem sharing the clip by email, if anyone is interested.
