unable to open windows outlook 2007

Discussion in 'General Malware And Security' started by richard sikora, Mar 27, 2008.

  1. I have just configured microsoft outlook 2007 through bt business broadband
option 2 which apparently was succesfull. When I tried to open outlook 2007
from my desktop a box appeared HEMV3AUKER.he.local asking for my username and
password. After trying different names and passwords I still cannot open
outlook. Can anybody help me please.

Its not neccessary to use any third party tool to configure OL
You can configure OL using the Mail applet in the Control Panel
    1) Create a new Profile (Not copy an existing) set it as the default
    2) Add a new data file
    3) Configure the mail accounts using the settings supplied by BT, ie
    username/password, pop & smtp
    4) Test mail
For any more info post to an outlook group, not one for the o/s
