Hi Ace.Welcome to Computer Help Forums.
Try a system Restore prior to when this issue arose.

slow responses or missed keys can be attributed to too many USB devices, I guess the keyboard is USB, if its not USB then its knackered

You need to get hold of an external keyboard either usb or wireless and see if you have the same problems. It very well may be that that issue is with the laptop keyboard. That can be anything from a faulty keyboard to the cable that connects the keyboard to the motheboard. Fortunately changing keyboards on most laptops is one of the easier tasks.

But you need to test it with another keyboard before you start taking things apart.

The value of "delay before access" was set to 1000 so I set it to 0 and works better. Still a little typo issues though
